Soft, fluffy, and loaded with melted cheddar, these cheddar garlic biscuits are the kind of side dish that disappears fast. They bake up tall with crisp edges and a tender center, then get finished with a buttery garlic topping that soaks into every bite. If you love classic biscuits, make sure to whip up a batch of our amazing buttermilk biscuits!

Red Lobster Cheddar Biscuits

If these sound familiar, that is because they are inspired by the iconic Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuits everyone knows and loves. This version keeps the bold garlic flavor and cheesy richness, but makes them easy to bake at home with simple ingredients. They are less greasy, just as fluffy, and perfect for anyone who wants that restaurant-style flavor without leaving the house.

When to Serve Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

These cheddar garlic biscuits are great year-round, but they really shine during the holidays. They are an easy, crowd-pleasing addition to Christmas dinners and winter gatherings. Serve them with holiday mains like bbrown sugar-glazed ham, roast turkey, or beer-braised short ribs. They also fit right in alongside classic seasonal sides. Outside of the holidays, these biscuits are just as versatile for weeknight meals, hearty pasta dinners, and cozy cold-weather recipes. We love serving them with our slow cooker beef stew.

Make-Ahead and Storage Tips

You can prepare the biscuit dough ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake. That makes this recipe great for entertaining! Leftover biscuits store well and can be reheated gently in the oven.
