Can I Use A Different Tortilla?

We prefer to use white corn tortillas, but yellow or blue corn would also work. Corn tortillas are also gluten-free. White or wheat flour tortillas would also work in this recipe if preferred.

Either way – here is a little tortilla chip tip. This is a great opportunity to use up some of the stale tortillas you have in the house. Stale tortillas will work with this recipe and can give you an even crispier chip.

To make homemade tortilla chips in an air fryer, follow steps 1-3 and place the wedges into the basket of an air fryer. (You may have to work in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.) Cook at 350°F for 7-9 minutes.

  • Using a pastry brush, brush each tortilla liberally on both sides with vegetable oil, then season with salt.
