Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Sauce

  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Chicken

  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss chicken in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
  • Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium heat, add olive oil.
  • Once hot, add chicken in a single layer, ensuring even cooking. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, turning every few minutes, until golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Transfer cooked chicken to a plate, tent with foil to keep warm.

Sauce

  • In the same skillet over medium-high heat, add honey, soy sauce, garlic, onion, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 12-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Assembly

  • Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
